A business with a decidedly artistic flair is slowly building in downtown Louisiana at 417 Georgia Street.
The Kae Pea Studio and Rubbermoon Stamp Co. started in September, the idea of sisters Kristen Powers and Bridgette Moore, of Louisiana.
“Kae Pea is how I sign my paintings,” said Powers, who displays her wares at the business and in St. Louis. “It’s my initials spelled phonetically.”
The sisters grew up in California and then moved to St. Louis in the early 1990s.
“Our parents had moved to St. Louis and they owned a rubber stamp company,” Powers said. “I was the creative designer for them.”
