The annual meeting of the Jordan-Buffalo Cemetery Association was held on March 14 at the Trimble House in Louisiana.
There were 17 people present during this meeting.
It was decided to have a workday on April 20, starting at 9 a.m. The fence needs to be painted, tree limbs and trees need to be disposed of. Also, all old and faded decorations will be removed.
Monetary donations are needed to help with the cost of maintenance.
In 2008 the association voted on and passed two new by-laws. They are as follows:
• No interment will be permitted or body will be received unless proper certificate or permit is furnished to the cemetery board.
• All interments on lot shall be restricted to family members or relatives of lot owners unless written permission to the contrary has been granted from lot owner or next of kin of deceased and the cemetery board.
If the board is not informed of cremation ashes being buried then we would not have any record for that person now or in the future.
