Centenary United Methodist Church, located at 7th & South Carolina St. in Louisiana, will be hosting a revival on Friday, March 15 at 7 p.m.
Everyone in area communities is invited to attend. This is part of a series of nine revivals sponsored by the Northeast Clergy Coalition, a group of churches from six area communities.
This non-profit group was formed for the purpose of building a faith-based coalition for the good of their communities and to encourage the development of the spiritual life for all people.
Their goal is to provide services not presently being supplied by any other organization in the Northeast Missouri area.
Pastor Charlie R. Wrighto Sr. of Bowling Green will bring the message. He currently serves as minister of the Second Baptist Church in Fayette. Preceding the service, a light supper will be served in the church’s annex at 6 p.m.
The following Friday, on March 22, Pastor Sammy Bogan will speak at Maryland Street Baptist Church in Louisiana.
On April 5, Rev. Jeanne Webdell will be preaching at the Second Christian Church in New London. On April 12 Pastor Horace Walters will be delivering the message at White Rose Baptist Church in Bowling Green.
The Circuit Revival series concludes for this year with Pastor Marvin Davis from White Rose Baptist Church preaching at Green Chapel Baptist Church in Clarksville. All services begin at 7 p.m. with a light supper preceding.
The group sponsors the Taste of Blackness Service held annually at the fairgrounds, a dinner theater, the Youth Taste of Blackness to celebrate graduating seniors, a songfest for area Christian musicians, and does other good works in its communities.
They also sponsor an educational tour to other countries or places of interest in the United States for the purpose of educating the attendees and providing fellowship.
