Mary Jane Williams

Mary Jane Williams, 79, of Lawrence, Kan. formerly of Pittsfield, Ill., died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013 in her home.
She was born Sept. 14, 1933 in Carthage, Ill., the daughter of Ruben and Mary (McAndrew) Bruce of Pittsfield, Ill. She married David Clay Williams Jr. of Pittsfield on June 19, 1968 and he survives.
Also surviving are three sons and four daughters, Bruce McKenna and wife Donita of Louisiana,  Cindi McKenna of Springfield, Ill., Angie Hittner and husband Gary of Pittsfield, Ill., Paul McKenna and wife Jacque of Lake of the Ozarks, Marcia McGuire and husband Randy of Maysville, Missy Fort of Oklahoma City, Okla., David Clay Williams III and wife Lindsay of Olathe, Kan.; 15 grandchildren are Kyle and Clinton McKenna, Natalie and Abbee McKenna, Travis and Casey Harris, Rachel Sellars, Dillon Durazzo, Sara and Andy Tompkins, Nathan McGuire, Tyler and Arica Fort, Jake Williams and Kolton Bruno; 12 greatgrandchildren include Payton Williams, of Overland Park, Kan., Saddie, Gavin, Zetta Grace, Tyler and McKenzie Harris of Springfield, Ill., Tracy, Dakota, Colton, Jaclan, Dane and Coy Sellars of Pearl, Ill.;  and one great-great-grandchild, Lettiand Willow Sellars.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Tyler Paul McKenna and Hunter David Williams; two sisters Doris Fesler, and Iris Piper; and her brother Richard Bruce.
Memorial contributions can be made to United Cerebral Palsy or the American Cancer Society in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe Chapel. 14275 S. Blackbob Rd. Olathe, KS 66062.
A memorial graveside service is on Thursday, Feb. 28. at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, Kan.

 

 

Mary M. McPike Clark

Mary M. McPike Clark, 62, of Columbia, formerly of Bowling Green, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, in Columbia.
Mary was born June 13, 1950 in Bowling Green, the daughter of Edward Jackson and Hattie McPike. She was a member of White Rose Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Clark of Bowling Green, and Patrick Clark of Hannibal; a special grandson that she helped raise, Jeremy Clark of Bowling Green; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two aunts, Mamie Scott of Vandalia and Faye Mitchell of Independence; one uncle, Carl McPike and wife Bessie of Bowling Green; one special cousin, Karen Mitchell of Columbia who helped take care of her through illness; and several nieces, nephews,  cousins, and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Taylor (Tate) McPike.
Mary lived most of her life in Bowling Green until she moved to Columbia due to her illness.
