Preparations are continuing to be made for the 2013 Pike County Relay for Life.
The next planning meeting will be held Tuesday, March 12, at the home of Robbie Orf at 6:30 p.m.
This year’s Relay for Life will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, and end at 1 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22. It will be held at the Pike County Fairgrounds. This year’s theme is “Haunting for a Cure.”
Teams are still needed for the annual fundraising event. To sign up or to volunteer, contact Orf at 573-470-1223 or email eiborfro@sbcglobal.net.
A kickoff event will be held on Saturday, April 6, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Bowling Green City Park shelter house. There will be barbecue, sides, desserts and drinks available. There will also be sign ups for survivors and teams. Luminaries will also be sold.
