The Louisiana Bulldogs beat the Van-Far Indians, 68-62, in the first round of the Class 2 District 5 Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Louisiana High.
On that same day, the Clopton Hawks lost in overtime to the Silex Owls, 59-57 and saw their season come to a close.
Canton defeated Wellsville, 64-36 and South Shelby beat Paris, 66-35 in the other two games.
That sets up the semifinal round on Thursday, Feb. 21, which could be snowed out.
If the games are played Thursday, it will be Canton vs. Silex at 6 p.m. and Louisiana vs. South Shelby at 7:30 p.m.
If the games are snowed out, they will be played at the same times on Friday, Feb. 22.
The boys championship game will be played at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, or at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday if the Thursday’s games are snowed out.
If the boys are forced to play on Friday night, the girls championship game will move to 6 p.m. Saturday. If Thursday’s games are not snowed out, the girls championship will be at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22.
