Twin Pike Family YMCA

The Twin Pike Y 21st CCLC programs which sponsor an extended school day program at every public elementary school in Pike County will offer an adult education program at three school districts on three dates in March.
Our hope is to provide a range of educational sessions that will provide something for most everyone.  Fliers are being sent home with all pre-K through sixth grade students this week at Louisiana, BONCL, Clopton, Frankford, and Bowling Green elementary schools.
The fliers provide information about dates, time, topics, and presenters.  A thumbnail description of each session being offered is on the backside of the flier.  A brief schedule of activities is as follows:
March 5
• Clopton: Make Money Count, presented by the MU Extension; Parenting, presented by Kim Gamm, PCHD.
• Bowling Green: Estate Planning, presented by Jeffrey Shaw; Teens at Risk, presented by MU Extension.
• Louisiana: School Meals, presented by the food service; Counseling, presented by the school counselor.
March 12

March 19
• Clopton: Estate Planning, presented by Jeffrey Shaw; Teens at Risk, presented by MU Extension.
• Bowling Green: School Meals, presented by the food service; Counseling, presented by the school counselor.
• Louisiana: Make Money Count, presented by MU Extension; Parenting, presented by Kim Gamm, PCHD.
The sessions are scheduled for 6-6:45 p.m. and 7-7:45 p.m. at each school site each of the three dates.
There will be a brief (15 minute) break between sessions.  A light snack will be provided.  Childcare will be arranged for the one hour and forty minute programming time.  Attendance prizes will be drawn at the conclusion of the programs each night.
Parents/adults from any of our school districts are invited to attend any of the programs on any of the nights.  We do want to emphasize that all Frankford and BONCL adults and patrons are invited also.
It was simply not possible to provide programming at all five sites.  21st CCLC staff from Frankford and BONCL will be participating in the programs.  Adults should plan to enter the school at the following place:
Bowling Green- YMCA afterschool area in the second — third grade wing, laptop lab and BGE art room.
Clopton- high school cafeteria (rooms TBA)
Louisiana- Louisiana Elementary YMCA afterschool area- computer lab and Y classroom
We strongly encourage all adults, parents, and patrons to attend at least one of our sessions.
