Funeral services for Jennifer Mae Bogert, 48, of Eolia will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22 at the Edgewood Baptist Church near Bowling Green. The Rev. John Birkhead will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville.
Jennifer passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013.
She was born Feb. 11, 1965 in Louisiana, the daughter of Richard A. Huckstep and Anna Louise Sidwell Huckstep.
She married Paul Edward Bogert Aug. 22, 1987 at the Edgewood Baptist Church near Bowling Green.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Paul Bogert of the home; siblings, Richard A. Huckstep Jr. and wife Judy, of Lexington, Tenn., William Joe “Bill” Huckstep and wife Diana, of Louisiana, Jack Martin Huckstep and friend Denise Early, of Louisiana, Jimmy Allen Huckstep and wife Darlene, of Bowling Green, Judy Ann Huckstep and Dusty Studler, of Machesney Park, Ill., Juan W. “Huck” Huckstep and Diana Gutherie of Louisiana, Virginia Jane Pugh-Brown and husband Roscoe, of Eolia, Jeffrey Lee Huckstep and wife Mary, of Clarksville, Janet Louise Campbell and husband Frank, of Louisiana, Joyce Sue Mennemeyer and husband Dale, of Troy; mother-in-law, Frances J. Bogert, of Bowling Green; brother-in-law, David Bogert and wife Dena, and daughter Paige, of Troy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard A. and Anna Louise Huckstep; her father-in-law, James L. Bogert; two brothers, Jerry Edward Huckstep and Robert Jay “Bobby” Huckstep; and a niece, Lauren E. Bogert.
Jennifer graduated from Clopton High School at Clarksville in 1983. She earned her bachelor of science degree in accounting from the Missouri Baptist University at St. Louis.
She had been employed as an accountant for Doris Twellman, Certified Public Account in Bowling Green.
Pallbearers are Juan Huckstep, Jeff Huckstep, Dale Mennemeyer, David Bogert, Larry Adams and Randy Lester.
Memorials may be given to the Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville, 4-H Youth programs in Lincoln and Pike County or the Hope Center in Bowling Green, in care of Collier Funeral Homes, Inc., 117 Barnard Dr., Louisiana, MO 63353.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Mary Clark, 81, of Louisiana, were held on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013 at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana. The Rev. Randall Cone officiated.
Burial was in the Perry Wells Cemetery near Pleasant Hill, Ill. Mrs. Clark passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield.
Rose Mary was born May 12, 1931 in St. Louis, the daughter of Reuben Arthur and Wilhelmina Elizabeth Stoddard. She attended grade school in Eolia and graduated from Louisiana High School. She was united in marriage to Glen S. Clark on Feb. 12, 1949 in Jerseyville, Ill.
Rosie was the loving mother of three children, Coleen Bryant, John Glen Clark and Marta B. Lawrence. She enjoyed her flowers, quilting, reading and putting puzzles together, but most importantly was her love for her family. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends were always special.
She is survived by; her husband Glen, of 64 years of the home, Coleen Bryant and her friend Jeff Meyers of Louisiana, John and Terri Clark of Moscow Mills, and Marta Lawrence and her friend Tim Waddell of Louisiana; her grandchildren, Brian and Lori Bryant of New Brunswick, N. J., Roni Bryant of Louisiana, Kara and Eric Headrick of Moscow Mills, Erin and Dane Gough of Wentzville, Deidra and Aaron Fairchild of Bowling Green; her great-grandchildren; Ashley Corbin, Jadyn Branch, Jack, Laney and Dane Headrick, and Xavier, Izabella and Zander Fairchild. She is further survived by her brothers, Harry and Sue Stoddard of Mexico, Donald and Joyce Stoddard of Memphis, Tenn. and her special sister-in-law, Carolyn and Butch Sanderson of Louisiana, sister-in-laws Anna Lee Buchanan and Dorothy Mullins and her husband Jesse of Pleasant Hill, Ill., and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Charles M. Stoddard, sister-in-law Learta Shipley and brother-in-laws Lyndle and William Clark.
Pallbearers were Randy and Jeff Stoddard, Mike Anderson, Jerry and Jack Buchanan and Brad Stark. Honorary pallbearers were Brian Bryant and Art Stoddard.
Waunita Wilson Henderson, 93, of Aberdeen, Wash., passed away on Dec. 25, 2012 at the Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam, Wash.
Waunita was born on Oct. 18, 1919, to Luther Cloyd Reese and Lydia Jane Young Reese at the Mackey Place in rural Pike County. She was 10th of 11 children. On Dec. 5, 1945, she married Lawrence Wesley Henderson in Louisiana.
During World War II she worked at the Naval yard in Washington, D.C. During her married life she was an avid baker, gardener and seamstress.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence, of the family home; one sister, Lela Fern Hendricks of Aberdeen, Wash.; and many nieces and nephews.
A family memorial service was held on Jan. 12 at the Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen, Wash.
Albert “Butch” Henry Niffen Jr., 69, of Hannibal, passed away at 9:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Apostolic Holiness Church in Hannibal. Pastor Gary Legg officiated. Burial followed the service in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal.
The James O’Donnell Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
