Pack 155 undergoes changes in past year

2012 has been a year of change for Cub Scout Pack 155.
Earlier this school year, our Cubaster, Donna Love, had to resign due to health issues. It was a rocky start, but we are getting our bearings now.
We are still looking for someone to fill the Cubmaster position. If anyone is interested in being Cubmaster, or enrolling your son, please contact Tisha King at 217-242-4196.
The boys have been great this year, taking all the changes in stride. We are introducing new leadership in all dens and everyone is working together to keep things going.
We were able to participate in the parades this fall. We’ve had a couple fundraisers this year and are getting ready to have our Pinewood Derby on Feb. 17 at the Elks Lodge at 2 p.m.
We will be having an Outlaw Derby again after the Cub Scouts’ Pinewood Derby. The Outlaw Derby is open to all and is $5to enter. We have extra car kits available for $5 for anyone interested in participating.
We are planning to participate with the Boy Scouts in March to go Scouting for Food to help our local food pantries. It will be a joint effort, with groups going around town two weeks in a row. The first week hanging flyers explaining our Scouting for Food effort, and the second week picking up bags of food that have been put out.
We really appreciate any and all help we can get with this communtiy service effort!
This summer, we are looking at a couple of local district-sponsored scout camps. We have the option of attending a three day Cub Scout or Webelos camp in Hannibal, or the scouts can also attend a family camp over the weekend at Mark Twain Lake.
Our district representative attended our last pack meeting and talked about both camps and what some of the preliminary plans are, and our scouts are looking forward to attending!

Local Scouts particpated in a Flag Day ceremony held at the Louisiana Elks Lodge.
