Hilty’s Custom Meats of Bowling Green has had the custom part of its business suspended by the Missouri Department of Agriculture.
During a routine inspection on Tuesday, Feb. 5, members of the Missouri Department of Agriculture’s Meat and Poultry Inspection Program suspended custom exempt operations for the facility due to alleged violations related to selling uninspected meat products to the public.
Department spokeswoman Christine Tew said Friday, Feb. 8, “I can’t speculate,” as to what was discovered. “I can’t get specific due to an ongoing investigation.”
