Long-time Louisiana residents Karl and Cathy Sippely are planning to open a grocery store at the corner of Fifth and South Carolina streets with a projected opening on Saturday, Feb. 9.
The “mom and pop-type store” will begin with fresh produce, canned goods, milk, eggs and paper products, Mr. Sippely said on Friday, Feb. 1.
The Sippelys hopes to add meat within a few weeks after opening and plans to build the store progressively.
The Sippelys’ plan to move their current video store to the location and perhaps offer pizza in the future.
