The expansion of Press Journal Printing into a new building in the Louisiana Industrial Park got a step closer last week.
City officials, PJ Printing General Manager Jeff Guay and Missouri Department of Economic Development representative Denise Derks sat down to discuss the rules for a $100,000 Community Development Block Grant which will pay for curbing and paving of the road in the industrial park.
PJ Printing and Louisiana pursued the CDBG grant last year to facilitate the firm’s need to expand into a new building and to attract more business to the industrial park.
As part of the deal, PJ Printing has to promise to create 10 new full-time jobs and commit to spending $500,000 in private funds for new machines and equipment, Derks said.
