Several proposed projects for the stretch of the Mississippi River in the Clarksville and Louisiana areas were unveiled at an open house to discuss the Corps’ proposed new rivers project plan on Wednesday, Jan. 23.
On the proposal list were:
• Installation of underground wiring and water to the Clarksville riverfront gazebo and benches along the trail at Riverside Park.
• Repair or replacement of the boat ramp at the Silo Access Area, improvements to the parking lots for boats and trailers and a trail to the Clarksville refuge.
• Three distinct primitive camping sites at the Gosline Access Area.
• A trail through the adjacent public lands at the Two Rivers North Access Area.
