Twenty-three youngsters attended the “Fiesta” at the Louisiana Public Library on Wednesday, July 9. Children listened to read alouds, completed craft activities, received small gifts and each child attending was invited to select a “Keep Book”.
Readers for the story hour were Leah Norvell and Jeremy Booth.  The books on display and the read aloud selections at the Story Hour were purchased through a GFWC Literacy Grant by GFWC Chautauqua and donated to the Louisiana Library.  The grant also paid for refreshments at the celebration, which included chips and salsa and donuts from Daybreak Donuts.  The next three Story Hours will be:  Fun with Art (July 16), The Great Egg Drop (July 23) and Fizz, Boom Read! (July30).  The Friends of the Louisiana Library host the Summer Story Hours.
