She was born Jan. 18, 1957 in Louisville, the daughter of Barney (Sam) and Hazel Isabelle Eoff Kelch Jr.  She married Gary Lee Shannon in Bowling Green on June 30, 1984.  He survives.

Lisa lived in Pike and Lincoln County most of her life.  She was baptized at St. Clement Catholic Church. She worked for Dr. Newton at the Bowling Green Veterinary Clinic until her children were born, at which time she chose to stay at home and raise her family.
After the children were grown, she became the kitchen manager at J.R. Diamond Restaurant.  She also volunteered at the Silex School and helped out on the family farm.
She enjoyed crafting, cooking and taking care of her family.
Lisa was an inspiration to others, battling and surviving cancer four other times.   She always focused her energy and attention on others, rather than her own affliction.

Memorials may be made to the family of Lisa Shannon, to be used for a charity of their choice.
