The Louisiana Rotary Club members gathered on Thursday June 12 for their regular weekly meeting at the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall.
President Elect Gregg Blaylock, filling in for President Bart Niedner presented a check for $500 to Howard Greene, PCMH Foundation Board member.
The check represented the club’s annual contribution to the hospitals foundation. Greene reminded members of the recent recognition obtained by the hospital and that the most recent drive for funds will help purchase a new ambulance.
In fine Rotary tradition, the club sang Happy Birthday to Eric Gearing and Doris Greene who both celebrated birthdays June 11. Each proudly wore their birthday hats for the celebration. Doris was also the lucky winner of the progressive 50/50 drawing done by the club. She was the gracious Rotarian and donated her ‘winnings’ back to the club coffers.
