Carissa Eckler was quite spoiled in the birthday department this year, celebrating her big day not once, but three times!
The first party was held at her Aunt Tina Niemeyer’s house and was decorated with a “Frozen” theme. The movie was her newest obsession, and she even insisted on wearing an “Anna” dress to keep in character during the event.
The house was turned into a winter
wonderland, both inside and out, with snowflakes adorning all the windows, and lining the tables as centerpieces, indoors, and with the approximate inch of ice that had fallen outdoors.
Carissa had some special guests that appeared as life-sized balloons, in Anna, Elsa, and Olaf, all characters from the movie. Guests willing to brave the weather enjoyed good food, prepared by Carissa’s parents and Aunt Tina, and fun.
It was especially entertaining watching the kids play pin-the-carrot-nose on Olaf, which was lovingly drawn by Carissa’s mommy per her request.
Carissa got many wonderful gifts from her guests and enjoyed a delicious, two-tiered cake with miniature “Frozen” figures, baked for her by Stefanie Cannon. It was a wonderful, first celebration.
Carissa celebrated for the second time with her preschool friends and her teacher, Mrs. Heather Harness.
She brought cupcakes, again “Frozen” themed, and treat bags to share. She also brought her pin-the-carrot-nose on Olaf game, so all her friends could try their luck playing it.
Carissa had another wonderful day and brought home more goodies!
Lastly, the birthday girl celebrated her official birthday with her mommy, daddy, and baby sister, Delci. She was treated to dinner at her favorite restaurant, Chinese, and enjoyed both breakfast and dinner cupcakes. She also got to open a few more presents, to add to her collection, and just enjoyed the day getting extra birthday attention.
All-in-all, she had a great birthday “celebration!”
