On Wednesday, May 14, the annual Baccalaureate service, sponsored by the Ministerial Alliance, was held at the First Baptist Church in Louisiana. The Baccalaureate service is a farewell to the entire senior class and it sends them off into the real world with worship and celebration. The ceremony lasted 45 minutes and was truly a pleasant event.
The graduating class was honored for its four years of service at LHS. They were blessed and prayed for by the spiritual leaders in our community. Paul Catterton from the Methodist Church was the featured speaker at the program. There were many speakers from different faiths from all over town in attendance. Senior Austin Baker said, “It was a great service, and I truly appreciate all of the spiritual encouragement I received.”
We here at LHS would really like to wish good luck upon our graduating class and hope they fulfill their dreams.
