Miller to speak at museum luncheon
Tickets are available for the Louisiana Area Historical Museum’s annual spring luncheon which will be held at noon on Saturday, May 10 at Seton Center, 508 N. 3rd Street.
The featured speaker will be Carolyn Miller of Sedalia. She is an expert on vintage clothing, having collected it for the past 30 years. Miller will speak on Victorian life and will show fashions and accessories from that time period. As a professional speaker, she has presented programs for the museum luncheons twice before and is returning by popular demand. Miller is a retired teacher, wife of a minister, and the mother of three grown children.
Tickets are $15 per person and are for sale by any of the museum board members, as well as at the Louisiana Area Historical Museum at 304 Georgia Street or the Louisiana Public Library at 121 North Third Street.
All proceeds go to fund the mission of the museum, which is to preserve the rich traditions and history that contribute to the life of our community as well as to offer educational programming.
