The National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 1, will be observed in the City of Louisiana with a service set for 7 a.m. at the riverfront gazebo. In the event of inclement weather the event will be moved to Louisiana City Hall to the Council Chambers in the lower level. The public is invited. A special invitation is being given to city officials, public safety workers and city employees.
This service is being led by several clergy of the Louisiana community who are part of the Louisiana Ministerial Alliance, and continues a tradition of many years. The service will include proclamations by public officials and will allow time for prayer for special concerns of individuals and the community.
