The Pike County Democratic Club welcomed in the spring season at its monthly meeting held on March 20th at the Pike County Health Department conference room.
Upcoming district and state meetings were announced.
Melissa Kempke, Pike County clerk, presented a program on elections.
Topics covered were the upcoming elections, statewide candidates and voter registration.
Those present were reminded that July 9 is the deadline to register to vote in the August primary. Kempke said there is always a need for election judges and other volunteers to assist in the election process.
This is a good way for people to become involved and if interested to contact her office.
A variety of finger foods and desserts provided by members were enjoyed by all. The next meeting is April 16. The public is welcome to attend.
