Five years probation for man who threatened Louisiana clerk

A former Bowling Green man who threatened to kidnap a Louisiana store clerk in January and then left without doing so has been given five years probation in Pike County Circuit Court.
Scott Joseph Adams, 29, pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful use of a weapon on Thursday, March 20, according to court records. Charges of attempted kidnapping, armed criminal action and another count of unlawful use of a weapon were dismissed.
Adams told the clerk she was going with him after placing two guns on the counter, according to court records. A customer walked in the door and he left about 10 minutes later.
