Police searched for evidence at a home at the corner of Fifth and Washington streets in Louisiana.

Police have apprehended suspect Aaron Weatherby, 18, in connection with the shooting of a man in Louisiana that occurred around 12:30  p.m. Tuesday, March 11.
Louisiana Police Chief Rich Hughes said the shooting victim was grazed in the arm and not badly wounded in the incident. Suspects in the case have been identified he said, but it was too early in the investigation to release names of those involved.
Hughes said police received a call about suspicious activity and a loud noise. Early reports indicated a man had been shot.
Officers from the Louisiana Police Department, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a gray, two-story house on the southeast corner of Washington and Fifth streets in Louisiana.
They quickly put up police tape around the perimeter of the home and began looking for evidence. A metal detector was also employed.
Chief Hughes said more details would emerge as the investigation unfolded.
