Louisiana mayor candidate disqualified
The pool for candidates for the Louisiana mayor’s race on April 8 has dropped to five with the disqualification of Justin Sheppard.
City Clerk Sharon Kakouris said Thursday, Jan. 23 that Sheppard has not lived within the city limits for at least two years prior to the election, as required by state law.
Candidates still in the race include Russell Stephens, David Minor, Bart Niedner, David Johner and Doug Dempsey.
