Louisiana Community Betterment
Louisiana Community Betterment Committee is making plans to renew the Missouri Community Assessment and Planning Process (MoCAPP) status for Louisiana, something which need to be done every three years.
The city has held the highest ranking in this state program for many years — All-Missouri Certified City.
To review the local material you may go to the city of Louisiana website and find MoCAPP under the city government category. It is a large document covering all aspects of community life, but anyone can review the material.
The planning can be effective as they review what they have in Louisiana and making plans for the future.
It takes much time and there are concerns that the process is almost more than a smaller community can undertake without unusual effort.
A public meeting will be held Thursday, Jan. 30 at Pike County Memorial Hospital beginning at 6 p.m. They welcome anyone who wishes to assist in this project. An alternative date of Tuesday, Feb. 4 has also been set.
