OATS announces January schedule
The following is the January schedule for the Pike County OATS service.
Thursdays — Pike County to Hannibal. Please call 1-800-654-6287 for reservations.
Tuesday mornings — Bowling Green in town.
Tuesday afternoons — Louisiana, Clarksville and Paynesville to Bowling Green.
First, second and fourth Wednesdays — Service along Highways 24, 61, 40/61 from Palmyra to Hannibal to New London to Bowling Green to Troy to St. Louis on the Weekly Express.
Third and fifth Wednesdays — Service along Highways 24, 61, I-70 from Palmyra to Hannibal to New London to Bowling Green to Troy to St. Louis on the Weekly Express.
Second Friday — Service along Hwy. 54 and I-70 from Louisiana to Bowling Green to Vandalia to Mexico to Kingdom City to Columbia on the Weekly Express.
The Weekly Express will pick up Pike County residents who live within five miles off Hwy. 61 or 54. Riders who live beyond five miles from the highway will meet the bus at a pick-up point.
There will be no service Jan. 1 and Jan. 20.

A county committee meeting will be held Jan. 22, at the Louisiana nutrition site at 1 p.m. All OATS meetings are open to the public.
Anyone can ride. OATS, Inc. is not just for seniors, but for rural Missourians regardless of age or income who are in need of transportation. Individuals, organizations, groups or agencies may contract with OATS for transportation services. Special agreements may extend for as little as one hour or for one year with an option for renewal. If individuals or groups need transportation services beyond what is scheduled in the county, OATS might be able to accommodate those requests.
