Two injured in Hwy. 54 crash at Louisiana
Two people were injured but apparently not seriously in this crash at Hwy. 54 and Georgia Street at the west end of Louisiana.
Two people were taken by ambulance to Pike County Memorial Hospital after a two-vehicle crash just after 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12. The wreck occurred where Hwy. 54 and Georgia Street meet at the west end of town adjacent to the MFA Oil filling station.
Eastbound traffic was being detoured onto Georgia Street. Westbound traffic was stalled but tow truck drivers and emergency personnel were on the scene cleaning up debris to open that lane.
Both vehicles had Illinois plates and the two injured were taken from one of them. A woman driving the other car did not appear injured at the scene.
Names and details were not immediately available.
