Five Louisiana football players selected to all-district team
Five Louisiana Bulldogs earned All -District football team honors in recent judging by coaches.
Senior Brycen Cropp, was named to the first team as a kick return specialist.
The 5-foot-6, 160-pound Cropp scored three times on kickoff returns, two of them against Monroe City. Cropp had 527 yards on 17 returns for the season.
Junior lineman Collin Stark played both ways in 2013 and was named to the first team, all-district offensive line. The 6-foot-3, 255-pound Bulldog will be relied upon to anchor the 2014 Bulldogs.
Senior Austin Rule made the all-district first team as inside linebacker.
Rule had 63 solo tackles in his last year of high school footbal and 75 1/2 tackles on the season. Rule sacked the quaterback twice and had 13 1/2 tackles for a loss.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Rule also played fullback and was the Bulldogs go-to rusher in short yardage situations.
Senior defensive back Zach Martin was named to the second team all-district squad. as was junior linebacker Dallas Castagna.
